  • What is the Day of the Lavender Wave

    The Day of the Lavender Wave is a global moment in affirmation and celebration of Black and Indigenous Lives in America and around the Globe.

    Vision Coach Jeffrey DeShawn Richardson has invited organizations, communities, networks, cities, states, our country the world and each and every person; to join him and other Black Men and Families based in Washington, DC for 10 minutes of affirmation and celebration of Black and Indigenous Lives.

    HOW

    Where Lavender on Monday, July 6th.

    Global Celebration

    Gather with family, co-workers, neighbors, friends, others in your home, office, balcony,

    driveway, sidewalk, culdesac or Main Street.

    At 2 P.M. EST on Monday July 6th 2026

    Jeffrey DeShawn Richardson

    Jeffrey DeShawn is a Talk Therapist, Life, Career and Leadership Coach and Strategist based in the Washington, DC.

     

    He is the Founder of We The People Community Health Worker Coalition and Corps and works as the Managing Director of Damien Ministries, a HIV/AIDS prevention focused non-profit health services agency.

     

    He is a graduate of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and The Howard University School of Social Work.

     

    When Jeffrey is not writing, reflecting and coaching, he is actively engaged in leadership and community development within the social and non-profit sector.
